"Archie’s and Betty's love story is a tale as old as time, and we wanted it to be represented in the best way possible in our covers. Of course, this is still a high-action and high-intensity comic, so having a good variety of both the superhero and softer moments was key. Thankfully, we have three tremendous artists who made these dreams a reality. Reiko Murakami, our main cover artist throughout this miniseries, managed to pull a harrowing moment from within the story and give it the spotlight it deserves. Soo Lee did a gorgeous job of capturing a tender moment between Archie and Betty. And Matt Talbot continues to amaze with his homage covers, this time paying tribute to The Amazing Spider-Man #50. As always, I'm forever grateful to work with Archie's amazing Art Director Vincent Lovallo, who consistently does an excellent job directing our artists so we always have the best covers imaginable." - Jamie L. Rotante, Archie Comics Senior Director of Editorial
"For every round of covers, I confer with our Senior Director of Editorial Jamie Lee Rotante to ensure we are representing the story in the best possible way. We both knew that this issue would explore Archie’s and Betty's relationship and that their romance would be at its heart, so we decided to bring forth all of the ups and downs that come with it. For our main cover, Reiko Murakami teases the idea that Archie will be the knight in shining armor many expect a superhero to be, but Betty's expression hints otherwise. Meanwhile, Soo Lee's variant cover highlights the honeymoon phase in a piece that may have taken some inspiration from a famous Gone With the Wind film poster. Finally, Matt Talbot's homage variant pays tribute to The Amazing Spider-Man #50, leaving the reader to wonder which of the pair will experience the greatest loss. I'm thrilled that we finally get to share our artists’ exceptional work and I hope fans will keep an eye out for them this coming March!" - Vincent Lovallo, Archie Comics Art Director
"I was so excited when Archie Comics reached out to me to write this issue of MR. JUSTICE. Betty is a fantastic character, and I wanted to use this new take on her to tell an emotional story from her perspective. We don't often get to really dive into the characters who support superheroes from the sidelines or try to have a romantic relationship with them, and this was a chance to showcase Betty's strength as an individual as she navigates uncharted territory. We're going to see Betty in a classic role, but she's going to take it in her own direction, and I can't wait for fans to read it." - Kenny Porter, Writer
“When I was asked to draw this issue of MR. JUSTICE I was so happy! I felt immediately involved in this wonderful story and having the opportunity to draw Archie as a superhero is something that I loved from the very first page. Betty has a key role here and the reader will see her from a different perspective digging deep into her feelings. This issue underlines the importance of love, friends, and people supporting each other, which makes something you literally can’t live without” - Maria Sanapo, Artist / MR. JUSTICE #3 (Betty’s Story)
