Many great comics are coming out this week, and with the releases, I’m starting a new series on Comic Frontier, where I showcase my favorite covers of the week! So, without further adieu:
Absolute Batman #4 - Francesco Francavilla - This cover does a neat twist on the MASSIVE size of Absolute Batman by making him stand over Gotham. Francavilla’s pulp style will never not be a hit for me.
Standard Variant
Cruel Kingdom #1 - Liam Sharp - Sharp’s work is always top-notch, but his variant for Cruel Kingdom is breathtaking, with two worlds colliding in the epic image.
Magik #1 - David Nakayama - Magik’s Soulsword is one of the coolest weapons in comics, and it’s on full display here as Nakayama’s variant is filled with hellfire, with Ilyana striking a badass pose.

Batman Dark Patterns #2 - Hayden Sherman - This cover is TERRIFYINGLY awesome.
Aquaman #1 - Christian Ward - Ward drawing Aquaman again feels so right after his excellent work on Aquaman: Andromeda with Ram V. Ward’s trademark water-color-like style captures the beautiful nature of the ocean with Arthur captured mid-swim.
